Ernest est un gros ours de Charabie. Il aime jouer de la musique et manger de la confiture. Il a recueilli chez lui Célestine, une petite souris orpheline et ils partagent désormais une maison. Les deux compères ne s’ennuient jamais ! À l’approche des premiers flocons, ils se préparent à l’hibernation d’Ernest : il faut s’occuper de Bibi, leur oie sauvage, qui s’envolera avant les grands froids, se rendre au bal des souris et y fêter le premier jour de l’hiver. Enfin, il ne faut surtout pas oublier de cuisiner de bons gâteaux pour qu’Ernest s’endorme le ventre plein !
Ernest is a big bear who loves music and jam. Celestine is a tiny mouse he adopted. The unusual family welcomes the first snowflakes of the season and the events that delay Ernest's hibernation.

The purpose of the Animation Film Festival is to raise awareness of "frame by frame" cinema and thus contribute to the promotion of films and their authors. It is linked to the World Day of Animated Cinema, celebrated on 28 October, in homage to Emile Reynaud, pioneer of frame-by-frame "film" and in commemoration of his first public projection of animated strips, in Paris, at the Musée Grévin, on 28 October 1892.
The event, developed by the AFCA, takes place every year simultaneously in France and in the French cultural network abroad through the French Institute. The latter, via IF Cinéma, provides its network with a programme of films for young audiences.
La Fête du cinéma d’animation a pour vocation de sensibiliser au cinéma « image par image » et de contribuer ainsi à la promotion des films et de leurs auteurs. Elle est articulée avec la Journée mondiale du cinéma d'animation, célébrée le 28 octobre, en hommage à Émile Reynaud, pionnier du « film » image par image et en commémoration de sa première projection publique de bandes animées, à Paris, au Musée Grévin, précisément le 28 octobre 1892.
L’événement, développé par l’AFCA, se déroule chaque année simultanément en France, et dans le réseau culturel français à l’étranger par le biais de l’Institut français. Ce dernier, via IF Cinéma, met à disposition de son réseau une programmation de films destinés au jeune public.
