Evan Silva and the Silva Service Band

In a change of style for us Evan Silva and the Silva Service's first Taranaki jazz Club performance promises to be an exciting evening given the blend of jazz, latin, soul R&B music on offer as well as the credentials of the entire band.

Vocalist Evan Silva was born in Auckland in 1947 of Portuguese, Pacific Island and French descent. As a teenager, his skill as a musician and performer were quickly recognised - making his debut at the age of 13-years having joined his first band known as The Mockers with some teenage friends by the age of 16. Now he is one of Australasia's top soul, R'n’B artists with a list of impressive achievements in the music industry. Evan is joined by Ernie Semu Keys & Vocals, Alex Griffeth Bass , Lance Bentley Drums. and
Chris Nielson Horns-Percussion.

Ernie Semu has 40 years music experience having played in many top bands while multi-instrumentalist Chris Nielson has a BA in music and also a long career of producing albums and touring with top national and international musicians. These include Sir Howard Morrison, John Rowles, Johnny Mathis and many more..

Doors open at the NP Club at 3.45 pm for a 4.30 pm start.
