Evolution Sails Women's Regatta: CANCELLED

Entries are now open for yachts and crew, experienced and not so experienced. In past editions of the regatta we’ve had everyone from World and Olympic champions to absolute beginners. Each year we’re getting more and more owners making their yachts available to race, which means we have room for many more crew.

Simply register and we’ll find you a space on a boat.

The event starts on the Friday with crews and skippers enjoying a cruise across Queen Charlotte Sound to a secluded bay where they’ll enjoy some Marlborough food and beverages.

On Saturday, the fleet take part in a couple of races followed by an evening dinner with guest speaker Annika Andresen from Blake Trust. Sunday’s programme features two races followed by prizegiving, which allows time for everyone to head home afterwards.

The Women’s Regatta is evolving! We have a new major sponsor with Evolution Sails and we’re excited to grow the event with them. We’re on a path of reducing men on racing crews (down to a maximum of 30% this year); after all it’s a women’s regatta. There will be a drive for newcomers to the sport to get on crews with a vision that this event will become 100% women crews.
