This is a 7-week class. Interested in the autobiographical nature of painting, tutor James Lawrence is often re-works his paintings, creating a layered history of the process. Energy, movement and colour are core aesthetic principles in James’ work and classroom. His lessons are often experimental, with an emphasis on colour and composition while showing students basic painting skills.
