F.A.W.C! Simply the Best

Dates

  • Sun 7 Nov 2021, 12:00pm–3:00pm

Restrictions

R18

For the first time, F.A.W.C!ers will have the opportunity to enjoy an event at The Farm at Cape Kidnappers exquisite Owner’s Cottage.

Enjoy spectacular views across Hawke’s Bay as Cape Kidnappers’ highly-regarded Head Chef, James Honore team up with Head Winemaker Phil Brodie, of Hawke's Bay iconic Te Mata Estate, for an exclusive and intimate long lunch on the Owner's Cottage patio.

Showcasing local ingredients, including from Cape Kidnappers’ own vegetable garden, this event will pair fresh seasonal produce with Te Mata Estate's world-renowned wines.

And with room for only 20 guests, there will be plenty of time to discuss wine with Phil and chat with James as he prepares each course in the open-plan kitchen.

Come and share simply the best of Hawke's Bay wine and food and join us in this celebration of land, people, and produce.

Ticket price includes: On arrival, canapés with a glass of Te Mata Estate Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc '20, followed by a three-course lunch paired with Elston Chardonnay '20, Bullnose Syrah '18, and the legendary Coleraine '18.

There are 20 tickets available for this event.

F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic has new dates but the same plan – to celebrate 10 years of the Hawke’s Bay’s signature culinary festival with incredible wine, fantastic entertainment and some of the best chefs Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand can serve up.
While Covid-19 forced the festival to postpone to our new dates of January 28 – February 6, there are a few events that will run in November, others that have postponed until Winter F.A.W.C! 2022 and four that unfortunately, have had to cancel outright. We know, it’s a little confusing . . . but we wanted to let everything run and give you the chance to enjoy as much of Food and Wine Country as possible – whether that’s in November, January or during Winter ’22.
