Axe Throwing is not a sport that's reserved for bearded lumberjacks, there is a growing league of younger axe throwers throughout the world. Think your family has what it takes to take the title of Family Throwdown Champion?
The perfect event to get through School Holiday boredom, our Family Throwdown is a tournament style event where family members will team up and try to out throw other family units. Teams are made up of no more than two “big” and 2-3 “little” with our minimum throwing age being 12 years old.
Safety has always been a major focus for us and this event is no different. We'll take you through elements of correct throwing technique and how to handle an axe safely.
We then spend time one on one to ensure everyone is throwing well.
The second half of our event will be a competition! Each group will compete as a team and get three game. The top scorers will enter into an epic finals match!
We have axes of different sizes and weights so those little arms won't struggle to throw them. All skill levels will be considered and we'll adjust the games accordingly so everyone feels included!
Please note: Axe-throwing requires everyone to be able to follow directions and pay attention.
