To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Oscar-winning American true crime classic from the award-winning Coen brothers we're bringing Fargo to the big screen for a season - you're darned tootin!
Jerry (William H. Macy), a small-town Minnesota car salesman is bursting at the seams with debt but he’s got a plan. He’s going to hire two thugs to kidnap his wife in a scheme to collect a hefty ransom from his wealthy father-in-law. It’s going to be a snap and nobody’s going to get hurt until people start dying. Enter Police Chief Marge (Frances McDormand), a coffee-drinking, parka-wearing – and extremely pregnant – investigator who’ll stop at nothing to get her man. And if you think her small-time investigative skills will give the crooks a run for their ransom… you betcha!

"Two words. Marge Gunderson." - Times UK

"The Coen Brothers are among the most able practitioners in America and this film is one of their best attempts to turn a familiar genre - the True Crime drama - into something miles away from the ordinary." - Guardian

"The beauty of the film is in the subtle detail of the dialogue and performances which continue to enchant on repeat viewings." - BBC

"To watch it is to experience steadily mounting delight, as you realize the filmmakers have taken enormous risks, gotten away with them and made a movie that is completely original, and as familiar as an old shoe." - Roger Ebert

"A crime gem that is darkly funny even when it's chilling - and certain to become a classic." - San Francisco Chronicle
