The Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland is very pleased to announce the return of the Monthly Japanese Film Evenings to Auckland.

Free Japanese films shown at the University of Auckland are usually screened on the last Thursday of the month from 7pm and are preceded by a documentary about Japanese culture from 6:45pm.

- All films have English subtitles.
- Booking is not necessary.
- Films, dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
- This event will be held only under NZ Covid-19 Alert Level 1 or lower.

March film: "Fireworks - Should we see if from the side or the bottom?"

If Only I Could Return to That Moment.
One day during summer vacation, a group of boys try to view a fireworks display from the town lighthouse to see if they look round or flat when viewed from the side. Meanwhile, one of the boys, Norimichi, receives an invitation from his crush Nazuna to run away with her.
