'BELLBIRD' (M) (2019)
When I first read a review of the film it did not make me feel like I should rush out a see it, but then I saw that it got 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes...and then I read other very positive reviews, so I sat and watched the film the other evening and I must say that I was surprised how very good it was. Such a simple film and simple story but so sensitively done, the acting convincing to a point that it almost feels like a documentary. Here are some comments from people who watched the film

"Bellbird is a sweet, poignant, achingly well written and quite a beautiful film. It tells its story with a minimum of fuss and dialogue, but still leaves nothing uncertain. It is funny when it needs to be, but never backs off from tragedy and loss. Bellbird might never get the audience numbers of a 'Boy' or a 'Hunt For The Wilderpeople', but, in many ways, I'll always prefer it to either. Go see it." STUFF

“I cannot remember a more authentic film. Every character was totally believable and so true to NZ. Sheer delight. Congratulations to all the cast and crew. Don't miss it”

"A powerful, touching film, portrayed in the gentlest of ways. I truly enjoyed watching Bellbird"

It will be Showing on Friday 12th February at 10-30am / 6pm / and 8-15pm Trailer and details on our website.
