Flower Painting

This workshop is tutored by Frank Callear.

Relax and experiment with paint while learning the basics of flower painting.

Over the course of the four weeks you will learn many methods of paint application. You may choose to work in watercolor for it's luminosity and painterly effects or paint using versatile acrylic for their fast-drying immediacy and ability to layer.

Create a new work each week or aim to paint one bold hero piece. Suitable for the beginner to the experienced.

You will need to supply a medium-sized canvas, board or 300gsm watercolour paper approx - 14x16"
Paints, (red, yellow, blue, white and a dark color) brushes (small to large) paper towels, palette or old plate, pencil and notebook, or paper for drawing/note-taking. You can choose to use oil if you wish.

We stock a range of canvases and paints in our shop. We will supply a selection of flowers for you to draw/paint, or you can bring your own reference.
