Chenin Blanc is the wine for every occasion! It is a variety known for its versatility in style and sweetness and for a robust acidity that explains its history of being blended to add volume and flesh to white wines. Chenin Blanc makes lithe, dry summer whites, textural and mineral sparkling wines, oak-aged styles and even exclusive and complex dessert wines.
Beth fell in love with Chenin Blanc when we sent her to the Loire Valley to discover the intricacies of Sauvignon Blanc. Returning with an excitement to show off the old vines John Forrest had lovingly planted in 1988 at our home block in Renwick, the two excited winemakers also set about expanding our plantings in the Southern Valleys to complement the steely, mineral notes of the gravels with the aromatic punch of the Brancott Clay profile.

This popular wine is selling fast and the 2021 Chenin Blanc is about to be taken off our tasting menu. This will be the last opportunity to taste this beautiful wine in the Cellar Door before purchasing. This will be the only opportunity to taste the 2018 Special Edition Chenin Blanc and the the Bubbles for Brigid due to limited stock and we know these special wines are going to fly of the shelves. Limited amounts of these wines will be available for purchase on the night.
Forrest Wines Cellar Door will be a Vaccine Pass Venue from 3 December and all guests and staff will need to be able to show their Vaccine Pass in order to attend.
