Garden tour - Government House Wellington

Explore the gardens of Government House Wellington with our Head Gardener. Government House Wellington gardens are listed as Gardens of National Significance by the New Zealand Gardens Trust. This tour is fully guided and free, but places must be booked in advance and ID is required for entry. Entry is only through the gate accessed from Hospital Road. This tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility as it involves stairs.

However, we can arrange a separate tour for anyone concerned about the terrain - email bookings@govthouse.govt.nz. This tour will not go inside Government House. If you wish to see the house, please book onto a standard public tour.
