Auckland-based Brazilian musician Ge Luz sings and composes in a range of different styles, recently returned to New Zealand after 3 years travelling the world performing in more than 70 countries. Ge Luz is able to coat with sugar, crush with sadness, and cut through to the soul of a song.
His melodic style reflects his love of jazz, music stemming from South America music traditions. He writes for and leads a solo guitar and quintet.
In 2015 released his album Momento and 2 years after 2017, Ge Luz recorded his Ep Canto Pra Dois original music and arrangements Produced By Max Viana. Djavan’s Son. With a beautiful and new repertoire and some amazing energy. The return of one of Auckland's best Brazilian singers will bring to us classic jazz standards, Bossa Nova and some originals. Longside of Mark Baynes, Alex Griffith, Lance Bentley, and Mike Booth! It’s going to be a wonderful evening of jazz.
