Few things feel as good as a deep belly laugh or a peaceful meditation session. Nothing matches the euphoria you get from throwing your head back with laughter or the blissful serenity you experience from taking time to be present with yourself at the moment.
Intuitively, we know that both laughter and meditation are good for us and science backs it up, yay science! Both trigger a number of healthy physical and emotional reactions in the body and mind. Ha-listic Comedy combines the two in a unique experience where the audience and our performers inspire wellness together by being connected in the same space.
Wellness practitioner Dov Phillips (Inspiring Wellness) is an expert at calming wandering minds and agitated nervous systems. Before the laughter, Dov will take the audience and the performers on a guided session, bringing them to a mindful headspace. Then, comedian Steven Lyons (NZ Comedy Guild nominated Best MC 2019) will bring on a fabulous line-up of comedians to delight and entertain featuring internationally touring comedian, the hairy hippy himself Marty Bright. (Sydney Comedy Festival, Broadway Comedy Club NYC and Comedy Store LA) with rising star Becky Umbers (Nz Comedy Fest Best Debut 2019, Nz Comedy Guild Nominee Best Newcomer 2019).
