Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) has been investigating risk from natural hazards in the Brewery Creek and Reavers Lane areas. Assessments show there is a range of risk levels in these areas, with elevated levels of risk in some places.

At our ‘Hear About the Hazard’ drop-in session, you'll be able to learn about:
- The information we have on the levels of risk from natural hazards, and what this means for you and the place you live, work and/or own, and the wider community
- The options QLDC is considering for responding to risk from natural hazards, the different pros and cons of the options, and what they might mean for you and the place you live, work, and/or own, and the wider community
- What Civil Defence and Emergency Management planning is being done
- The process and timelines QLDC is following.

Council officers and technical experts will be present to answer your questions, and we welcome you to provide us with any comments and feedback on the day.
QLDC staff will also run two 20 minute presentations at 3.15pm and 5.30pm, providing a general overview of the project.

All are welcome to attend this ‘Hear About the Hazard’ drop-in session. Registration is free and will help QLDC manage attending numbers appropriately, but you're welcome to drop by at a time of your choice even if you haven't registered.
