This will be Hobnail's first time back at the Boathouse since their full house show in 2019 as part of their 25th Anniversary tour. They are now a 5 piece, boasting a fuller sound since the addition of their old mate Murray Costello on bass guitar. They'll be playing some new songs, and have dusted off a couple of older songs for the long term fans. There might even be a Fleetwood Mac cover in there....
"Refreshingly down-to-earth and lovely with vocals so tightly knit they could be family." Mike Alexander, NZ Herald.

“Highly spirited and entertaining……an illustrious fusion of bluegrass, celtic, folk, pop, and rock’n’roll.” Stewart Hunt, Nelson Mail

"With “Jo Moir's barnstorming fiddle”, great songs and spectacular harmonies, Hobnail's live show will make your feet move and your heart sing.

The well-travelled Wellington group have devoted fans across New Zealand & overseas, collectively and as individuals, they’re hitting a peak of their musical powers. They are 3-time finalists at the NZ Music Awards for both albums and singles, and both Rob Joass (a songwriter’s songwriter – NZ Musician) and Caroline Easther (legendary drummer of the Chills, Verlaines and more) have released well received solo albums in 2019.
