Hongi is an outdoor exhibition in David Nathan Park, by Yonel Watene (Ngāti Maru). The exhibition recalls Watene's childhood memory of his father performing hongi. Hongi is a representation of what the artist understands the Māori greeting to be, and therefore is an opportunity for the public to reflect upon their own understanding of hongi, too.
