Back in 2001, a little NZ act called 'House of Downtown' were playing to packed gigs week-in and week-out up & down the country and across the ditch, when they dropped their debut Album 'Release' - A top 40 record, it showcased that funky, bumpin' early noughties New Zealand house music that we all know & love

Mashed up with funk, soul & love, and held together by the amazing vocals of Tulele Faletolu, the album was a great success and spawned hits such as 'Downtown Groove', 'Bodymove' & 'Whatever comes' ...

...and in 2021, as a celebration of the album that was, we present the launch of 'Re-release' - An album crammed full of all new remixes, lovingly crafted using the original stems from back in the day - An electronic journey from how it was, to how it is - with a full strength hit of Aotearoa!

'Re-release' features the perfect blend of well known & fresh faces from the local & international dance music scenes, including: -

Jason Eli // DJ Phillippa // Alkalino // Mr Doris // DJ Phully // MissB // DiCE_NZ // Dean Webb // Christiaan Ercolano // Emerson Todd

Available to stream & download on all major platforms from May 7th, including House of Downtown's bandcamp page - Support local
