Blowout Comedy presents a showcase of top shelf comedy from all over NZ and the world! Your headliner for the evening is one of Wellington’s best—Advait Kirtikar. Advait is “super dry with killer timing” known for "punching up" and "going for the jugular" (The Hook). He is "a stand out" and his “uniquely beautiful comedy” (Art Murmurs) has taken him to the Raw National Finals and numerous appearances in NZ International Comedy and Fringe Fests. Hosting the evening is American comic Jonathan Falconer. A professional comedian with a doctorate in pharmaceutical chemistry, Jonathan Falconer's comedy is about how diplomas are overrated and being smart is stupid. He has an endearing mix of overconfidence and humility, with material that shines a light on his many weaknesses and the flaws in human judgment. He often points out that we don't know as much about the world as we think we do. Although unverified, he claims to be the world's dumbest doctor.
He began his comedy career in Salt Lake City, Utah, then New York City, before settling in Dunedin, New Zealand to make it big. He has featured on shows across the USA from California to NYC, Germany, and Australia. Recently, he's performed alongside some of New Zealand's biggest comedy icons including Ben Hurley and Urzila Carlson.
