Are you struggling to support a child or adult with dyslexia?
Are you concerned about your child’s learning journey?
Are you aware of children who are disruptive, withdrawn, bright but not achieving?
Are you working with a child who is not progressing as you would expect?

SPELD NZ’S two-day introductory course is for you!

This Level 3 NZQA-approved course is an Introduction. It will cover great insights into what it’s like to have a Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and why SLD occurs. It also offers constructive, practical strategies to help these learners in the classroom setting and at home.

Attendees come from a variety of backgrounds, including parents/whanau and educators (such as teacher aides, tutors, Learning Support Co-ordinators, teachers, SENCO, school management). It is suitable for those with limited knowledge of SLD, such as dyslexia, and for people interested in refreshing their knowledge or learning more.

This is a two-day course and it runs from 9 am to 4 pm. You need to attend both days.
No prior qualifications are required to enroll. A certificate is issued on completion of the course.

Training subsidies may be available towards registered teachers attending this two-day course - email support@speld.org.nz if that is you.

Cost includes course notes and morning tea.

SPELD NZ Friend membership costs $40pa and a membership form can be downloaded at this link https://www.speld.org.nz/our-services/training/introduction-specific-learning-disabilities/, along with registration for this course.
