It’s that time of year, Variety Theatre Ashburton are proud to bring you this year’s show…. It’s Only Rock “N” Roll Baby!
The Father and Daughter team are this year’s Director and Musical Director. Gavin has shone on our stage in the past but this year he is in the Director’s chair, calling the shots and making sure this show is perfect come opening night.
Sarah is the Musical Director who lives in Christchurch where she has just completed her Bachelor of Music Arts degree at Ara where she studied songwriting. She has performed in many shows in Christchurch, predominantly with Riccarton Players and is a member of the singer-songwriter group ANGELFISH. Joining the team is Jessie Thomson as Choreographer. Jessie has dazzled us on stage in shows such as Just the Boyz, Salute to Broadway, Mama Mia just to name a few and has choreographed Oliver, Adams Family & Sister Act for VTA along with Shrek and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for MCCT.
This year’s show features some new and exciting singers and dancers alongside familiar faces, with songs like Love Shack, I put a spell on you, To Feel like woman and This is me you will be dancing in the aisles.
All tickets purchased for the original date in May 2020 are valid for this 2021 date but must be exchanged for new tickets.
