We invite you to come and experience a drive in movie like they did before technology took over. With the jumbo screen you can enjoy a movie in the comfort of your own car and make memories with your family.
This is a fundraising event to pay for 8 girls to go to Guide and Ranger Jamboree in Hamilton in January 22. All funds received after costs will go towards the fees and airfares for these girls to attend Jamboree. The girls get to learn a wide range of life skills while meeting new people and participating in a life-changing event. For most this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend a Guiding NZ Jamboree event.
This fundraising event will be held at Ruapuna Speedway. The movie that will be shown for this event is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Movie starts at 6.30pm gates open at 5.30pm please ensure you are there in plenty of time for us to coordinate parking. Please follow the directions of the volunteers on the day. There will be no gate sales on the day, all tickets must be purchased online.
This is a family-friendly event and will be smoke/vape free as well as alcohol and drug-free. Ticket prices are per vehicle, which means you only have to buy 1 ticket per vehicle. Please make sure all vehicles have passengers according to legal requirements, ie. no overloading vehicles.
Due to the current situation with covid, we ask that you please scan in at the gate. Should the event have to be cancelled because of covid restrictions a full refund will be given.
Food can be prepurchased at a cheaper rate online when you purchase tickets. Cash sales will be available on the night but at a higher cost than preorder. No Eftpos will be available on the night. Also be aware that we may sell out so prepurchased food is highly recommended.
Attendees are asked to stay in their vehicles and their food will be delivered to them. Toilets will be made available and we ask that attendees return to their cars after using the facilities.
Sound for the movie will be available via FM frequency which will be advised on arrival and there will be also be a PA system.
At the conclusion of the event please wait until you are advised on how to exit the grounds by our volunteers so we can have everyone leaving in a safe and orderly manner.
