Join us in planting trees at Rangihoua wetland on Waiheke Island! Meet us with your friends and whānau, some closed-toe shoes, and a spade if you have one. Then join us for some free kai after we’re done!
This year Waiheke Resources Trust’s Love our Wetlands project is planting around 10,000 eco-sourced natives with the generous support of our funders and the local community. These plants have an important job; their roots will harness soil to the hillside, preventing erosion. The soil can then trap sediment and filter nutrients, which prevents contamination downstream to rivers and oceans.
For more info about planting with us, phone 372 2915 or email info@wrt.org.nz.
