Have you always wanted to make and star in a music video? Here’s your chance! TV professional Carolyn Sylvester will show you how to write, shoot, direct, perform in and edit your very own music video.

You’ll join forces with other young creatives to choose a cool song that you want to make a video to. Over three days you’ll take turns trying different roles in front of and behind the camera.

You’ll learn how to storyboard, shoot, direct and edit your videos and you’ll learn new techniques to make your performances shine on camera.

There will be a screening of the finished videos at the end of the program and everyone will get a link to the videos to share with friends and family.

Teaching artist Carolyn Sylvester is a multi-talented television professional who is skilled at camera operating, directing, scripting and producing. Forget the old maxim "never work with animals or children" - Carolyn specialises in both and loves every minute of it! Her experience in children’s television includes directing and shooting the popular ‘Fanimals’, ‘What Now’ and ‘Kea Kids News’. Carolyn is also recognised as one of NZ’s top lifestyle and magazine show directors. She has worked on numerous TV series, including ‘Kiwi Living’, ‘Whānau Living’, ‘Thirsty Work’, ‘Annabel Langbein – The Free Range Cook’, ‘Taste New Zealand’, ‘NZ House & Garden’ and ‘Mucking In’.
