In this class, you will learn the basics of wet felt making by making a beautiful felt bowl from natural NZ wool! Wool is a sustainable and local resource, which is great fun to craft with. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and create.
You will learn:
How to make a pattern using a resist
How to ‘wet felt’ using soap and water
How to make 3D felt objects
How to make 3D felt objects
You will leave with a handmade bowl and the skills to continue felting at home... be warned, it's addictive!
Materials list: Please bring 1 towel. All other materials will be provided.
Children 10+ are welcome to attend with an adult.

Assembly Point is a 3 month pop-up in Cathedral Junction, 109 Worcester Street, Christchurch Central. We are located in shop 9/10, between the tram station and the barbershop! We are a collective of 40+ artisans from Christchurch as well as further afield in New Zealand. We have a shop space, workshop space and an artisan workspace in our lovely cosy little winter pop-up!
