Making Moments: Art Making Workshops

Join local mosaic artist Jean McGavock for a mosaic making session. Artwork that is created will be made out of fine bone china and the finished work will be displayed in the Toi Ako exhibition. After the exhibition is over the completed work will be displayed at the Heretaunga Women’s Centre. This is a fun and collaborative workshop.
No art experience necessary.

Make Moments is a programme that connects and engages older people, and people living with dementia, with creativity. Delivered by Connect the Dots’ trained and passionate arts educators, participants can engage in facilitated art discussion tours and art-making workshops with a focus on exploration of ideas and experimentation of processes and techniques. These workshops engage participants in intellectual stimulation, cultural engagement and social interaction.
