Matariki Night Mākete

Join us for a special Matariki celebration at Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre's Matariki Night Mākete. Additional Māori artists and craftspeople, as well as our more regular stallholders will be showcasing their art and crafts. There will be a focus on traditional and contemporary Māori art, as well as traditional kiwi kai.

The Matariki Night Mākete will offer performances from local singer-songwriters and entertainment and activities for tamariki for a fun whānau evening out.

Loopy Tunes will be performing Ngā Whetū o Matariki and would love your tamariki to learn the words and actions before coming the Matariki Mākete. See more details at artscentre.org.nz

This event is part of Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre's Matariki 2021 programme, celebrating the Māori new year with ahunga nui (connection) through ngā toi (the arts).
