This September Alzheimers South Canterbury challenge you to jump rope with us for one minute a day for people living with Dementia.
ON YOUR MARKS! Gather your (optional) sponsorship form and information.
GET SET! Find a skipping Rope and (optional) sponsors.
GO! Record yourself on your phone jumping for 1minute for each day of September
1) Post your video on Facebook showing you completed the challenge for people living with Dementia.
2) Tag a new friend each day to challenge them to join the movement
3) Add hashtags #jointhemovement #MoveForDementia #jumpropechallenge #southcanterbury
If you don't own a skipping rope you can choose to jump or walk by setting yourself a goal of 5000 or 10000 steps a day. Take photo of your step counter and post it tagging a new friend each day with hash tags #jointhemovement #MoveForDementia #southcanterbury
On the 30th day of September we go live on Facebook you can join the video and jump together with everyone involved. Or come to the venue to join the jump rope challenge for 30 minutes of skipping. You can dress up to win some amazing prizes or get your workplace to join in as a team and dress up as a theme to win a group prize.
Skipping ropes will be available to borrow on the day.
If you are unable to partake in the activity you could still help out by donating $5.
Sponsorship forms are available for those who want to fundraise. Ask friends, family, workplace or local businesses to sponsor your goal of:
$1 per day skipped
$10 for attending the live event challenge
