Whakarongo ki te taiao - Feeling The Land’s Rhythms

Join us at Lake Domain, on the Northern shores of Lake Wairarapa, for music, interactive artworks and to meet some of the creatures that live in the waters of Wairarapa Moana.

The interactive artworks will offer unique experiences:
- Walk into the Wairarapa Moana and take part in the meditative nature of walking in water with Siv Fjærestad’s temporary work "Conversations in Water (Floating Pathway)".
- Hear the extraordinary instrument – ‘Koro’. An ancient Totora log, Koro was found on the shores of Wairarapa Moana by Warren Maxwell who carefully crafted what can only be described as a musical experience, more than an instrument.
- Enjoy the new artworks by Sam Ludden Ceramics

Talk with experts to learn more about this special place and help us celebrate Wairarapa Moana becoming Aotearoa’s newest wetland of International Significance under the Ramsar Convention.
Bring a water bottle and gold coins for a sausage sizzle.
