Announcing a special kapa haka showcase as part of the 2021 Naenae Matariki Festival. Your chance to see reigning regional champions in both the primary school and adult age groups - Ngā Tai Ahurea o Te Ngaengae (Naenae Primary School) and Te Ahi a Tahurangi - supported by Tūhoe ki Pōneke and Naenae Primary School’s Samoan culture group Tavaa'e.
Get ready for a great evening of local talent from Naenae and around the region!
This is a free event, but we’re fundraising to support Ngā Tai Ahurea o Te Ngaengae in their trip to the Te Mana Kuratahi national primary school competition in Nelson in November, so please bring a small koha if you can.
