NEW ZEALAND MUSIC MONTH: The Little Smith Band

Come and celebrate New Zealand Music Month at Toitu Otago Settlers Museum, with live music every Saturday in May!

From Dunedin, fronted by Jo Little (vocals and acoustic guitar) and Jared Smith (vocals and lead guitar), the Little Smith Band came to the party with a great big plate of blues-soaked folky rock ‘n’ roll sandwiches... I mean songs... to share with the crowd. Honestly, these guys are phenomenal. You may have seen them playing as a duo, but the full seven-piece band is quite something to behold.

In addition to Jo and Jared are brass masters Hamish Fyfe (baritone sax) and Jonathon Holloway (trumpet). A heartbeat readjusting rhythm section of Spencer Morgan (bass) and Ben Morton (drums). And those groovy moving harmonies by Jessica Little. The whole set was mesmerising for the audience. If you haven’t already done so, do yourself a favour and check out their music and videos.
