The Incubator Creative Hub is proud to be welcoming Michelle Arnold to The Incubator Gallery with her exhibition titled Ngā Whetū Katoa. - to be presented during our programme of Matariki Tauranga Moana events.
These mosaic works represent the kaupapa of each individual star within the Matariki star cluster using Te mahunga (the head) being the most sacred part of the body, and feathers, which symbolise spiritual linkage. Included in this exhibition will be a series of smaller tiki.
Michelle Arnold (Holey Mosaics) is a mosaic artist from Te Puke. She uses her craft as a voice for environmental and cultural issues, as well as inspiring personal growth.
On display from June the 12th to the 3rd of July.
Opening event on Friday the 11th of June, 5-8pm, at The Incubator Creative Hub.
