Your family might not talk politics at the dinner table, but we do! Join up-and-coming chefs Cieran McBride and Morgan Clark for a five-course evening exploring Wellington’s cuisine and political landscape.

Great company, food and drink has always been a catalyst for open discussion and stimulating conversation is the greatest thing a meal can do, so we’re serving relaxed, delicious food, to spark a dialogue and let the food do the talking, with each dish providing a light-hearted take on a different political topic.

The most powerful votes we have are the ones we use at the supermarket every week, and they influence the way our society is shaped. We choose one product over another and in doing so decide what is worth producing or labouring over. No Politics at the Dinner Table is an example of a holistic, food-conscious approach to what we eat, exploring different foods and sharing what we have learnt so far.

The event will showcase traditional preservation techniques, less commercialised methods, or natural ferments, re-envisioning old-world methods in a local context. With a focus on long-fermentation and locally-foraged flavours, the night promises to taste delicious and fix the economy (maybe).

Ticket includes: Five-course dinner.

Please note that seating for this event will be at shared tables, this means you may be seated with other people as well as the group you have booked with.
