Depot Sound is running a competition for secondary & intermediate North Shore musicians and are thrilled to be launching this new initiative as part of New Zealand Music Month.

Musicians, bands & singer-songwriters from North Shore schools can submit an original song to win studio time & other great perks!

There are 2 divisions for this year which are Intermediate school and Secondary school divisions:

Winners of each division receives 2 days Studio time at Depot Sound with Guest Industry Mentors.

Runners up of each division receives 1 day studio time at Depot Sound.

All submissions receive.

A discounted rate of $40 Per Hour + GST valid until 31st of January 2022. (Limited to 8 hours studio time). Any time used above this will be charged at the normal studio rate.

Judges include Laughton Kora, Sven Pettersen, Ed Knowles, Taisha Tari, Emme Lentino & Neil Baldock.

Competition is officially open now and submissions close on 31 May.
