A weekend of ballet competitions featuring local and visiting dancers in the Capitaine Bougainville Theatre at Forum North.
Sessions:
Friday 10 September: 2.30pm and 6.30pm
Saturday 11 September: 8.30am, 2.00pm and 6.30pm - Ballet Variation & Groups session
Sunday 12 September: 9.00am and 1.00pm approx.
Note: Session start times except for first sessions of each day, are approximate only. Next session start time will be announced at the end of the previous session.
Northland Performing Arts Competitions are an annual festival of dance, music and speech & drama offering a forum for children, students and adults to perform and compete against one another.
The 2021 festival sections are:
Dance
- Jazz & Tap Dance: 3 - 5 September CANCELLED
- Ballet: 10 - 12 September CANCELLED.
Music
- Piano & Instrumental: 2 - 3 October
- Vocal Intermediate & Senior, 13 years and over: 8 - 10 October
- Vocal Junior, 12 years and under: 16 - 17 October.
Speech & Drama: 17 - 19 September CANCELLED.
