Proudly Asian Theatre brings Fresh Off the Page to Papaioea to engage with 2019's Not Woman Enough by Hweiling Ow. Local actors will be cast to rehearse with Cassandra Tse and present a public play reading.
Not Woman Enough is a touching, thought-provoking and hilarious story of three women undergoing different challenges; challenges unique to women. Through diary-style monologues, each woman offers an intimate glimpse into their state of mind as they navigate the uncertainties of life.
Not Woman Enough was part of Proudly Asian Theatre’s ‘Fresh Off The Page’ reading in 2019 and has been developed with Asian Ink (Playmarket) and the Oryza Foundation.
This production will be cast from within the community. Performers will work with the expert Proudly Asian Theatre team to rehearse and then perform the reading.
