The programme starts, as always, with the Open Mic session. From 5pm we showcase our guest artists. The Guest Musician this month is Tim Rhoades, a singer/songwriter from Wellington. He performs original material with a unique cohesion of relatable, emotionally driven lyrics and smooth cruisy vocals, mixed in with instrumental blends and acoustic guitar. The Guest Poets are Marion Rego, Margaret Jeune, and Alex Jeune, whose work has been collected in the HeadworX Anthology 'Three Poets' (2020). Each of them brings their own voice to the diversity of contemporary New Zealand poetry. As there was no public launch in 2020 due to Covid, this is our opportunity to celebrate the publication and hear the poets read their work.
