In this workshop, you will learn how to slab build a ceramic cup.
By the end of the 3 weeks, you will have your very own handmade set of coffee/tea cups take home and enjoy for years to come!

Three sessions.
Mondays 1-3pm (Sep 20th, 27th, October 4th)

Sep 20th: In the first session, you will learn how to create a cup using the method of soft slab building. You will then complete your set of four tea/coffee cups.
Sep 27th: The following week, your pieces will have been bisque fired and are ready to decorate (if you wish) and glaze.
October 4th: The final day your cups are out of the glaze firing and ready for use. I would like to invite you to have a cup of tea or coffee with me as a nice way to wrap up the workshop - using your cups of course!

Spaces are limited.

Tickets will be released on Eventfinda.

I have been working with clay for the past 6 years. I started out with Anthony Morris (Morris and James, Matakana) as my mentor and continued my studies at Elam School of Fine Arts. Now I have my own ceramics studio where I create functional and sculptural ceramics selling in stores and galleries.
I am looking forward to sharing my space with you!
