Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.

This course will run over three Wednesday evenings 7 - 9 PM starting 28 July 2021.

Tutor: Paul Crowhurst

Your plot may be diminutive, but your design can still be great. Paul runs his own landscape business specialising in small landscapes and in particular, the use of planters (outdoors and indoors) to utilise the maximum amount of space in today's small gardens.

Learn how to get the best from your small courtyard or garden, and make another room to use. Learn how to use planters to best effect, and how to prepare them professionally, and choose the best plants for both small spaces and planters.

The course will cover: introduction to landscape design, design basic and pitfalls, laying out the space to get the most liveable area, selection and use of planters, plant section, and maintenance.

Our mission:
To provide quality adult and life long learning opportunities which empower individuals in their personal lives and as members of society.
