Free guided public art bike tour in Glen Innes with Street Artearoa, supported by Auckland Council.

Join us on a fun outdoor adventure as we cruise around Glen Innes on bikes, checking out the public artwork that lives within the local community. Learn about the artists and stories behind the artwork while getting some exercise and fresh air. What a great way to spend your morning! NOTE: 21st February tour is aimed at kids between the ages of 5-15 years. Each kid must be accompanied by an adult AND each adult may have up to 2 kids.

Tour details:

- Booking is free but essential (via our linked website) as places are strictly limited. Please book only if you intend to attend. Not showing up means others miss out.

- 21st February tour is aimed at kids between the ages of 5-15 years. Each kid must be accompanied by an adult AND each adult may have up to 2 kids.

- The start of the tour is outside the Glen Innes Library on 108 Line Road.

- This easy ride is suitable for all fitness levels.

- 1.5 hours with lunch provided at the end. Please get in touch if you have any specific dietary requirements.
To join this tour you need to have a bike and helmet. If you would like to join this tour but don't have access to a bike and/or a helmet please get in touch at contact@streetartearoa.nz.

- Bring a hat and a bottle of water. Sunscreen provided.

Auckland Public Art / He Kohinga Toi showcases some of Auckland Council’s collection of public artworks, celebrating the creativity of Tāmaki Makaurau and reflecting the unique identity of our city. The new site went live on 10 October 2020 as part of the Artweek Auckland 2020 Programme.

Discover the ideas and inspiration behind some of the public artworks across Tāmaki Makaurau, located in many of your favourite places and spaces. Locate and learn more about the newest additions to the city’s public art collection, as well as temporary artwork installations.

With more than 100 works already online, keep visiting the website as new works and information will continue to be added.
