Love x Economics
What would a loving economy look like?

Free Public Talk by Philip McKibbin.

About the talk: What would a loving economy be like? We have been taught to believe that 'The Economy' follows its own logic - and that our role is to figure out how it works, then (for prosperity’s sake) make our societies conform to it. Clearly, our economy is not working - for us, for non-human animals, or for the natural environment. But what if we tried doing things the other way around? What if we began with a vision of the sorts of communities we want to live in, and then generated economies that work to create and sustain those?

About the speaker: Philip McKibbin is a writer from Aotearoa New Zealand, of Pākehā and Māori (Ngāi Tahu) descent. His book Love Notes: for a Politics of Love is published by Lantern. He co-organised ‘The Politics of Love: A Conference’ at All Souls College, Oxford.
