The Raw Comedy Quest is back for 2021! The search is on for the funniest new comedian in Aotearoa, and we reckon that person is right here, in Whanganui! (Or Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, the Manawatū... We're hedging our bets a little)

12 people will eventually battle it out for the Central Region crown, with the winner and the runner up advancing to the Wellington finals. The top two performers are flown to Auckland to compete in the National Raw Comedy Quest Final in October!

With over $2000 in prize money and national coverage, the Raw Comedy Quest can be the stepping stone to a career in comedy.

Previous winners include Billy T winner Melanie Bracewell (7 Days), Jamaine Ross (Frickin' Dangerous Bro) and James Malcolm (AotearoHA!).

To enter all you need is 6 minutes of original material and the guts to get up on stage. Send us an email at contact@diycomedynz.com. Tickets to the heats are $15/$10 concession. Door sales are $20 and subject to availability.

Can a Whanganui act bring the national title home with them in 2021?
