Ghost Media X Neighbourhood Collective Presents: Release Party
Starring Waguan, Young Gho$t, Liam K. Swiggs, Chronic Shnxman & Noyer

Release your souls as we enter a new year. Leave the demons of the past behind and dance the night away to some of the freshest sounds that Pōneke and Ōtautahi have to offer at one of our favourite venues.

After a hot couple months in the studio, the potent duo that is Waguan & Young Gho$t are finally ready to share some of their collaborative wisdom. Playing a set that will encompass past, present and future, these two are no strangers to blowing crowds off their feet, having opened for the likes of Jess B, Church & Ap, Eno X Dirty and many more in the past year alone. Armed with a new set of fun, infectious, groovy anthems, this will be a set guaranteed to get your body moving in all sorts of new directions.

Joining them will be none other than Big Fresh Collective head honcho LIAM K. Swiggs, with a selection of juke, footwork and jungle to make a grown man skank. Flying in all the way from Ōtautahi, Swiggs is returning to his old haunt in Newtown to show the locals what they’ve been missing. Swiggs has also had a massive 2020, with a string of popular releases on his record label, as well as his tunes being played on BBC Radio 1Xtra, not to mention student radio stations across the country. Not only that, but he’s here especially to release and preview new music alongside his new brother Young Gho$t. With their last single ‘Possessed’ breaking new sonic ground across the board, expect to see a whole lot more yet to be broken!

These prodigious talents will be supported by Wellington’s local hellspawn, the racket-maker that is Chronic Shnxman. Fresh off the tail of brand new collaborative album ‘Troublemakers II’ with Cix50, Shnxman will be heating up the stage with his signature brand of deathtrap, terrifying the crowd with his balls to the wall production and hardcore delivery.

Last but not least we have Noyer opening up the night, a well-known demon on the decks with nimble fingers and a broad crate. Playing a selection drawing from hip hop, trap and UK garage among other genres, Noyer is famed for his versatile sets, clean selection and smooth mixes. Whatever the vibe it is those people want, you can guarantee he’s about to give it to ‘em!

The gang will be joined by one of Wellington’s finest VJs to give the night an extra visual touch and polish. More info on that coming soon.
