This Recital Competition for singers aged 17-28 years is Auckland Clef Music Club’s tribute to the memory of former President, Patron, generous friend and mentor, RONALD DELLOW.
This year, seven talented young contestants were selected from a Preliminary Selection Round, to perform in this Final Recital Concert to be judged by music and theatre professionals, JENNIFER WARD-LEALAND and RICHARD GREEN.
A Prize of $1,500 plus the Memorial Trophy will go to the Winner, while the Runner-up receives $400.
A further non-monetary "Audience Choice" prize goes to the singer voted most popular by the audience on Concert night.
The Adjudicators will be assessing the singers on their ability to present a rounded recital performance, so factors such as selection of repertoire and the ability to engage with the audience and communicate the music, will be judged alongside technical vocal skill and accuracy.

This will be a wonderful recital evening of arias, lieder, art song and lighter music, with the added excitement of a closely fought competition and your opportunity to hear some of the best of our emerging singing talent.

The Concert concludes with a generous supper - all included in the ticket price - followed by comments from the Adjudicators and the Awards Ceremony where the successful contestants are announced.
