Mirimiri Te Whenua, Whakapai Te Whanau - Admission By Registration & Powhiri / Marae Welcome.
In accordance with Marae tikanga please bring a koha/donation and wait at Rehua Marae gates by 5.15pm. Parking on the street until Powhiri is complete. This hui is for the entire weekend & ends Sunday 2pm.

WELCOME ALL for a weekend of learning and celebration of Tohunga Rongoa, Romiromi, Mirimiri. Sharing traditional Maori knowledge healing body, mind, and spirit. I nga wa o mua ... in times past, our land and waterways flourished. Whanau related with the natural and ancestral worlds for a super-natural experience. Knowledge of healing and medicine was passed one generation to the next. Whanau culture and spirituality was fluid and rich in knowledge and technology. We want to celebrate the gift of whanau and whenua. As we care for the land, the land cares for us - to promote healing physically, socially, culturally and spiritually.

NAU MAI Experience a weekend of total immersion in the ways and teachings of our tupuna (ancestors).

The purpose of this wananga is to introduce you to local Tohunga Rongoa & Mirimiri (experts). There will be workshops and guest speakers at Rehua Marae. We will also visit local reserves to walk the whenua (land) and ngahere (bush) to learn about plant based medicines of Aotearoa NZ. You are welcome to stay on the marae or be present every morning 7am sharp for Karakia and breakfast to start our day.

Attendance at this hui sets you up to pre-enrol for monthly workshops for 2021. REGISTER before 4 April 2021 to secure a place.

Our hui is a joint initiative of Kahukura Maori Healing and Rehua Marae. Our efforts are made possible with Te Putahitanga o Te Waipounamu Whanau Ora Commissioning. We are a not for profit network and your fees support the efforts of local Maori healers and artists in Otautahi. NAU MAI TAUTI MAI!!!
