Highlights:

On this 5 day workshop and wellness retreat in the Nelson/Mapua region we will:
-learn a new creative skill in a fabulous, inspiring 2-day screen printing workshop
-visit a lovely local Nelson winery for a wine-tasting
-take a leisurely walk in the stunning Abel Tasman National Park
-find some treasures at the quirky Nelson market
-enjoy some fabulous meals at local cafes and restaurants
-peruse some local art/galleries
-indulge in a spa and rejuvenate your body

Day 1 Nelson to Ruby Bay - Galleries, shops and wine-tasting
Arrive in Nelson to begin your fun-filled 5-day trip!
Spend a relaxing afternoon at the charming seaside village of Mapua, perusing the unique shops and galleries. Grab lunch at one of the local eateries before heading to a local winery. No trip to Nelson is complete without a visit to a local winery, so that's exactly what we will do - go wine-tasting!
Dinner together tonight at a fabulous local restaurant.

Day 2 Market, walks and art
Saturday morning means market day in Nelson! We kick off the day with a couple of hours getting inspired by the arts, crafts and food at this wonderful market. We will also pop into a gallery or two, before heading over to Marahau for a leisurely walk in the Abel Tasman.
We'll have a sundowner and enjoy the sunset before going out for dinner.

Day 3/4 Screen printing workshop
Our two-day screenprinting workshop with a tropical twist begins! Over the course of the next 2 days you will learn the process of screen printing onto fabrics, including cut stencils and wax resist techniques aided and abetted by our colourful screen printing legend, Judith Ritchie.

This workshop could be just what you've been looking for to start up your own screen printing venture. Whether that is revamping your home with printed cushions, duvet sets and curtains or a small business specialising in t-shirts, hoodies or bed linen. The possibilities are endless.

Judith has just returned from two years teaching and developing new screen printed imagery in the Cook Islands. She brings unique Pasifika inspiration to her workshops, as well as her love of New Zealand imagery, sharing her gorgeous designs with those wishing to take away special memories.

Pacific designs include the beautiful hibiscus flower, handwoven hats and the head 'ei' worn by women and men as daily adornment.
There are also options if you wish to use your own drawings or designs. So we'll roll up our sleeves and get printing with Judith while learning lots of tricks of the trade!
This eco-friendly and sustainable craft is something you will be able to use to create your own fabulous gifts or household items.

Day 5 Wellness time!
After two days of being creative, it's time for some fresh air, nature and indulgence! Enjoy some lovely walks in local bush and along stunning beaches.
We finish off our fun-filled 5 day workshop and retreat with a trip to the local spa, to soak in hot tubs, a sauna and a steam room.
What a great girls weekend it has been! You will return home relaxed, inspired and rejuvenated!
