Seatoun Primary School, in the eastern suburbs of Wellington, is celebrating its centenary year in 2021.

The School is holding a series of special events for pupils and staff, past and present, over 3 days from 17-19 September 2021.

On Sat 18 Sept, we will continue our centenary celebrations with a colourful street parade from the wharf, past the old school site and onto the current school. All welcome to this free public event.

Once at the school, we will open our new centenary playground with a special ceremony, and then you'll be able to catch up with friends, past and present, explore the school and our archives at your leisure. We will also have activities on the school field.

Other major centenary events are:

- Centenary soiree and art auction on Fri 17 Sept 7 pm (tickets available on Eventfinda).

- Centenary dinner at nearby Rydges Hotel on Sat 18 Sept 7 pm (tickets available on Eventfinda).

- A cuppa and baking in the school hall, and more time to explore the school and our archives on Sun 19 Sept 10-11.30 am (free and open to the public).

To support this event, we have some wonderful centenary goodies for sale, including a beautiful centenary coffee table book, custom centenary bottles of wine, t-shirts, hoodies, pins and coffee mugs. You will also be able to contribute native plants and pavers (embossed with your family name) as a way to help us fundraise for our exciting new playground project. These items will be on sale via Eventfinda soon.

Please also follow us on Facebook and share event dates with anyone you know associated with the School.
