After the turbulent times of 2020 and the transition to online theatre for the 29th year of its Festivals, throughout 2021 SGCNZ is revelling in its 30th Anniversary year. We look forward to celebrating 30 years with a fabulous festival of Shakespeare from students around New Zealand - join us and immerse yourself in their impressive performances! Shakespeare himself lived through tempestuous times and continual outbreaks of the bubonic plague. He incorporated the consequences of death, destruction, and closure of theatres. All are themes with which current audiences can identify and reflect while watching these students interpret Shakespeare’s words in their own imagery, proving his power echoes through time.

Please note the ticket prices listed are exclusive of Ticketmaster fees.
