Show Me Shorts and the Embassy of Italy present a night of visually compelling and award-winning short films from up and coming Italian filmmakers.

There are six short films by top Italian filmmakers:

Il Nostro Tempo (Our Time) directed by Veronica Spedicati
Lunedì (Monday) directed by Massimo Fallai
Mezze Stagioni (Transitional Seasons) directed by Bruno Ugioli e Riccardo Menicatti
Passaggi (Steps) directed by Beppe Leonetti
Jiaozi (Dumplings) directed by Luca Canale Brucculeri
14 directed by Aldo Surricchio
This is an informal and fun event, and all are welcome. The screening takes place in the Southern Cross Garden Bar. All films screen in the Italian language with English subtitles. Run time is approx 79-minutes. No allocated seating, so first in best dressed. The bar will be open with food and drink available for purchase.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, just your name and email confirmation is fine.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Pay and display car parking is available on Abel Smith Street and Cuba Street. Two hour maximum. There is a car parking building located nearby on Marion Street.

The Cross is both wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with disabled bathrooms and baby change tables in both the Men's and Women's bathrooms.

Will there be door sales?

Previous events have sold out online before the night so it is recommended to pre-book. If online sales do not sell out there may be limited door sales. Door sales are cash only.
