Sing from the Heart - Mantra Singing Sessions in September.

“I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.” Rumi

Join us for Sing from the Heart Mantra Singing Session over four Saturday’s in September. Come for one session or sign up for all four! Nurture your creativity and wellbeing with mantras to uplift, and promote healing and peace.

Each week we will explore the meaning and practice a mantra from different spiritual traditions and use a variety of methods including mantra singing, chanting and breathwork to support us in opening our voices and singing from the heart.

These mantra singing sessions are suitable for complete beginners, or those wishing to develop their own practice. No prior experience is necessary. Singing mantra is great for people new to a meditation practice, and who may be dealing with anxiety, insomnia, stress and other mental health conditions.

What is a Mantra?
The word mantra can be broken down into two parts 'man' which means mind, and 'tra' which means transport or vehicle. In other words, a mantra is an instrument of the mind—a powerful sound or vibration that you can use to enter a deep state of meditation. Like a seed planted with the intention of blossoming, a mantra can be thought of as a seed for an intention. Much in the same way you plant a seed, you plant mantras in the fertile soil of practice. You nurture them and over time they bear the fruit of your intention.
